Safety Is Our #1 Priority
Keeping It Real in the Shop
Team 3250 makes safety a top priority. We do our best to keep the shop above OSHA and 5s standards. Every year, each team member researches a unique safety topic then writes, directs, and edits a video on it. The topics involve hazards in the shop and how to prevent all accidents that may occur. Each member must also complete multiple online safety courses through S/P2 before they are allowed to use any machinery.
We keep safety a priority throughout the season with safety briefings, general overviews on safety topics, and safety posters, informational posters pasted on all the different machinery in the shop detailing the proper use of the machine it is posted on.
5 Rules of Safety We Follow
As a team we do our best to express the importance of "5s Safety." By doing this we ensure safe and productive work. 5s Safety is a system of organization that is completed in 5 separate phases. The phases are: sort, set, shine, standardize and sustain.
