The 2020 FIRST® Robotics Competition season kicks off January 4, 2020. Teams from around the globe will gather online and at more than 140 kickoff locations to watch the game reveal and celebrate the upcoming challenges and heart-pounding thrills this season is sure to bring. For more information please visit the FRC website here.
Mr. Greene asks that all team members be at Kennedy no later than 6:45am that morning for kickoff preparations. This is an all day event so be sure to pack a lunch, drinks and a few light snacks.
Below are dates for the regionals the team will be participating in. Please note, due to costs the team will not be going to Idaho but instead competing at the Sacramento regional event. All costs listed include registration fee, travel costs and meals.
First Robotics will be sending parents an email with important documents authorizing their child to participate in season programming. Be sure to respond and complete all registration documents otherwise your child will not be able to participate. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Like to build things? Handy with tools?
Why not volunteer to help set up the team's practice course on Sunday January 5th. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents while helping the team rock the season. More information on what is needed, times, etc. will be sent in a separate email soon.
Is driving more your speed?
We also need 4 volunteer drivers for the Aerospace event April 1-5 in Lancaster, CA. If interested please contact Scott Brown at email@example.com for more information as well documentation needed from SCUSD to drive.
